Pastor's Corner - 9/2

Prayer is one of the clearest ways we acknowledge that the church belongs to Jesus, not to us. When we face decisions, difficulties, or uncertainty, our instinct is often to fix things or form opinions. But Scripture calls us first to seek the Lord.

The early church understood this. “All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer” (Acts 1:14). Prayer was not simply something they added to ministry. It was at the heart of their life together.

That is why we are moving to weekly prayer on Wednesday nights. We want to seek God together, worship, listen, intercede, and ask the Holy Spirit to align our hearts with his will. We will pray for one another, our church, those who do not yet know Jesus, and the work God has placed before us.

Dear Church, we are in a season when we need to pray. Come when you can. Let us seek the Lord together and learn to listen for his voice.
