"Let the Redeemed Say So"

Psalm 107 is a call to remembrance, gratitude, and testimony. It opens with a timeless truth:

"Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!" (Psalm 107:1, ESV)

Throughout the psalm, we see a repeated cycle, people in distress cry out to God, and He delivers them. Whether they were wandering, imprisoned, foolish, or storm-tossed, the Lord heard their cries and saved them. Four times this refrain is echoed:

“Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.” (vv. 6, 13, 19, 28)

This is a psalm for all of us. We’ve all faced seasons of wandering, rebellion, brokenness, or fear. And yet, God’s steadfast love never fails. He meets us in our mess, responds to our cries, and proves Himself faithful over and over again.

The proper response? Gratitude and testimony.

“Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble.” (v. 2)

If you’ve experienced God's rescue, then say so. Share it. Worship Him. Your story of deliverance can encourage someone else still in the storm.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your steadfast love and endless mercy. Thank You for hearing my cries and delivering me in ways I often don’t deserve. Help me remember Your goodness and boldly declare what You have done. May my life be a testimony to Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
