Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced. -- Psalm 105:5
Psalm 105 is a call to active remembrance. It doesn’t merely suggest we glance back at God’s work—it commands us to give thanks, call on His name, sing, tell, glory, rejoice, seek, and remember. Worship is not passive. It’s intentional, lived, and spoken. This psalm walks us through Israel’s story—from Abraham to Joseph, from Egypt to the Promised Land—not to glorify Israel’s faith, but to highlight God’s. He is the one who called, protected, sent, judged, delivered, and fulfilled. Every action belongs to Him.
Dear Church, in our distraction-filled lives, it’s easy to forget. But forgetting what God has done leads to anxiety, complaints, and self-reliance. Remembering grounds us. It reminds us that God’s covenant love is not just history—it’s personal. He is faithful. He saves.
So write it down. What has God done in your life? Where did He show up when you thought He wouldn’t? Tell someone this week. Rejoice in what He’s done—and seek Him again. The same God who brought Israel out with joy is the God who walks with you now.
Don’t just remember facts. Remember faithfulness. And let that memory lead you into worship.
Praise the Lord.
