Pastor's Corner - 3/25

Grace and peace from Vancouver.
I am here this week teaching on Jesus-centered leadership, and even as I speak, the message is working on my own heart. We are looking at how Jesus leads, not by grasping for power, but by laying his life down. “The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). His leadership flows from the cross, humble, sacrificial, and full of purpose.
What I am reminded of again is how we do not lead for Jesus until we are first led by Jesus. Before he sends us out, he calls us to himself. Before he asks us to serve, he invites us to abide.
Dear Church, as I am teaching, I keep thinking of you. I would love to bring this same conversation to Beacon, to gather our leaders, open the Scriptures, and realign our hearts around Christ as the center of everything we do. Not just leading better, but leading from a deeper place of surrender and dependence.
So today, wherever you are, pause and come back to him. Let Jesus lead you before you try to lead others.
Because when Christ is at the center, everything else finds its place.
