“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22–23
A new year often invites reflection on what has been lost, what has been gained, and what still lies ahead. Scripture reminds us that while years change, God does not. His love is steadfast, His mercy unending, and His faithfulness sure.
We do not step into this new year relying on our resolutions or strength, but on the mercy of God, renewed every morning. Even after seasons of failure, grief, or uncertainty, the Lord remains faithful to His people. This truth frees us from fear and fills us with hope. Whatever this year brings, God’s mercy will meet us there.
Let this year begin not with anxiety about the future, but with confidence in God's faithfulness.
Faithful Father, thank You for Your mercies that are new each morning. As I enter this new year, help me trust You fully, walk in obedience, and rest in Your steadfast love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
