Pastor's Corner - 4/8

Luke 24 begins with quiet disappointment. The women come to the tomb expecting death. They bring spices, not hope. They are devoted but do not expect resurrection. Then everything changes. The stone is rolled away. The tomb is empty. And the angels ask, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?”

It is a question for us. How often do we search for life in what cannot give it? Success, comfort, and control promise life, but they cannot deliver. They are empty tombs. The turning point comes in one phrase: “Then they remembered his words.”

Dear Church, Jesus had already told them. They had just forgotten. Easter calls us back to remember. Jesus is risen. Death is defeated, sin is paid for, and life is found in Him alone. Stop searching among the dead. Remember His Word. Respond in faith.

Because Jesus is risen, life is no longer something to chase. It is someone to trust.
