  • POTE

Goodwill Church is excited to be hosting the 131st Stated Meeting for the Presbytery of the East (POTE).  If you didn't know, Stated Meetings are held three times a year and are a time when the teaching and ruling elders of every congregation in the POTE are invited to come together for worship, fellowship, and to conduct the business of the presbytery. If you'd like to be involved, the doors are open!  The business meeting will be held on Friday, April 26th, from 1:00PM-5:30PM and Saturday, April 27th, from 9:00AM-1:05PM at Goodwill Church in Montgomery.  While this meeting is primarily for the teaching and ruling elders, it is open to all who would like to attend and listen in.  Please note, there will be voting taking place at the meeting, but voting at the meeting is reserved for the elders and is not open to congregants. If the business meetings do not interest you, we encourage you to join us for an Evening Worship Service at 7:00PM at Goodwill Church in Montgomery on Friday, April 26th.  We're looking forward to worshipping together with our brothers and sisters across the POTE and would love for you to join us! Want to hear more about what POTE is and what to expect?  Tune in to Goodwill Talk on Monday, April 15th where Pastor José joins us to talk all things POTE and the Stated Meeting. Any questions on POTE and the Stated Meeting?  Feel free to reach out to Pastor José at jrodriguez@goodwillchurch.org

  • National Day of Prayer

If you weren't aware, Thursday, May 2nd is the National Day of Prayer.  To participate in this day, we are going to have the Lindsay-Pohlman Chapel opened from 8:00AM-6:30PM.  You're invited to stop in and have a moment in the chapel for prayer and reflection.  Then, at 6:30PM that evening, we will have a worship service led by Pastor José Rodriguez to close the day. The National Day of Prayer organization provides some great resources to help guide you in prayer this year, which are linked below for your use.  We hope to see many of you throughout the day in the Chapel on May 2nd and at the worship service that evening.
